Hi All,
Quick newbie question, building a Tower Trainer 40 would it be better to punch out all the wing spars then clamp them all together and sand as one unit, or should i build and sand then the wing is finished? will the wing be more uniform ether way
Thank in advance

My first instinct would be to build first, sand later...because if you put any dinges on the ribs during building, you can sand them out when its built.....and if u sanded the ribs first, u wouldn't really know how far you were sanding them...and you might risk sanding away too much...
I'm no expert, I'm still on my first kit-built plane...so maybe someone more experienced might be able to advise!!!....but my wing worked out ok doing it my way...

Stack all the ribs and even all the sides and ends ,but dont sand anymore than necessary to make them all the same ,
I usuall stack mine and with scrape spar material , I put it in the slots and then pin from both sides with two pins each.

Both are giving good advice.
But you have a very good source of help nearby at "Debbie's R/C World." See Les Modlin. He's one of the good guys. Give him your business.
Tell him I sent you.
And ask when he's going to send my Panther jet to me.
Bill.

Thanks for the input.
Did not know we had a Debbie's R/C World in Va Beach, only 20 minutes from the house. Have to check it out...
