I'm thinking of the TF P-51 for next winters project.
Has anyone built this plane as the 'B' model?
It would probably need a different canopy and build the turtle deck.
Also, what engine is good for this model, I would want more power than the US41 they suggest.
Would the G62 be a good choice?
I have one in my Corsair, runs good, but vibrates alot.
Any better choices?
Thanks,

I've built 3 of these, used the 41's in two, and the g62 in the third. The 41's are plenty of power for scale flight, the 62 is overkill for the money unless you're going to put a larger tank, smoke, or other extras and just want it for piece of mind. Either way, be SURE to use a soft mount to cut that vibration, very important. Be sure to mount your cowl and radiator before you go to sanding the nose and bottom to match. Great plane to build due to size. Glass it for sure, use good paint, and do it in a scheme that no one has. The Big Beautiful Doll is mighty old! Have fun!
