Default House of Balsa P47 Thunderbolt

I have an OS .10 engine laying around that wants to be used. I found a P47 kit from House of Balsa that requires a .10 engine. I've never built a H.O.B. kit before and was wondering if they are any good? Any information would be helpful. Thanks! Pat

The 10 will work great on the plane. The HOB kits build well and finish up into good looking planes. Good Luck, Dave

Why not do a build thread?

I would be interested in seeing it go together!

Thanks

Mine turned out pretty well and I used a Norvel .074. OS 10's aren't much more powerful but they are heavier, so take care to cut out every possible ounce as you build. That said, the wing is HUGE on this thing, so even if you're slightly heavy it'll still fly nicely. Mine's a real floater at 22oz.

Hey thanks for the info. Good stuff. The max for the plane ( as stated on the website ) is a .10 and I have one so we'll see what happens. I'll probably buy it soon and build it over the winter for next spring. Thanks again for the info.
