I have two PT 40s they will fly great when built to the plans with either the trainer wing or the sport wing very stable. I have been able to fly the sport wing inverted with the sport wing but it was very touchy. less dihedril will improve aerobatics but make it less stable, but not unmanagable. Just MHO.

I have the PT-60 with an OS-61 in front. I went with the decreased dihedral. Plenty of power. Takes off like a shot. In the air it's pretty docile. Rolls like a truck. Landing, it's a floater, a real floater. With the wide tread on the main gear, it does tend to bounce at touchdown if you don't flair it gently. Otherwise a gentle giant.

This was my first plane and I still have it......I even still fly it.
Even as my first plane, I built it with LESS dihedral than what the sport wing calls for. It has been an EXCELLENT plane to both learn on and continue to fly. I have the OS 65LA on it and it has ran flawlessly from day one. I have lost track, but there has got to be 5 to 600 flights on it by now.
Hindsite has shown me that it could have been built lighter, but it really isn't neccessary. With any 60 size 2 stroke, it has more than enough power. Your 80 4 stroke should be a good choice
