I don't have mine done yet! It's ready to cover so its close. I built this plane and at the same time I scratch built a larger one 15% bigger to fly with a larger motor. Both are in the covering stage right now. I will post a weight as soon as I get it done.
I did what you did, following Harry Higgleys Bipe book.
I have seen post all over the board for weight on this plane. Anywhere from 8 1/2 to 11 lbs.
I hope to come in at about 10 lbs on the CG Ultimate and perhaps 12 1/2 lbs on the bigger one. The bigger one has 4 servos in the wings and two for the elevator. It will use the Moki 180 for power.

Mine came in at either 9 1/4 or 9 1/2 lbs.....too lazy to go open the shop and look in the log book to be exact. ASP 108 with Slimline Pitts muffler, APC 14x10 prop, Monokote except for glass cowl and pants, aluminum gear, two aileron servos, and one each on elevator, rudder, and throttle. No lead required to balance. This plane is nine years old and flies very nicely.

10 3/4 lbs. YS 120 FZ for power. No need to strengthen the firewall over what is in the instructions for a Magnum 120. I only put some tiangular support on mine.
Mine is too heavy, really should aim for under 10 lbs to get a really good flyer.
If you do a search on this site there are plenty of threads on the Ultimate, it is a popular plane.
