Default Stinson reliant kit

Hey guys! I came across a old Stenson sr-6 kit...There is no manufacture on it...Only Stinson reliant, The aircraft standard of the world...Made in the U.S.A.....Could this be a real kit?? Not something like a topflite or something??

Not sure what you mean. Is it a "real" kit like real 1:1 scale plane? Probably not if it fits in a cardboard box. Or, did you mean a "real" kit meaning Top Flite doesn't make "real" kits? Hmmm... Don't tell that to my Top Flite Warbirds, it might bruise their egos.

LOL!!!! No I ment like a R/C kit that was produced by Stenson them selves...I think I have found what it is though....Does "Six-Quarter" Scale Classics ring a bell to anyone??
Also what could this be worth? Im not a builder by no means, so it wil go in the classifides shortly..As soon as I find some info so I dont sound like a dummy....The price tag on it is $150.00 I know it is a old kit...So im wandering if if would be worth more or less than the $150.00 price tag...

It is probably a "J. Roberts" kit. I used to have one, but sold it a few years back when I figured I wouldn't build it. They are nice kits, probably from the late 70's early 80's. I'm not sure what it would be worth now-a-days.

Cheers!

I think you are right!! I looked at the book and on the back is stamped J. Roberts Precison scale aircraft..

You think $150.00 would be a quick sale????

Six Quarter scale sounds like J. Roberts SR-6. Constant chord wing, rather than tapered; removeable wheel assembly, and optional float assembly.

...why do people find these rare finds and then, for the most part, only want to sell them? Just once...just once!...I'd like to find something like this...'cause I would then build it and enjoy the "gift"! Okay...I'm done...going back to the building board and work on my plan build Astro-Hog....

Soft landings.

LOL on the Slinky!! What you are saying is understandable Scooter...nothing personal meant. I was merely wondering why I never come across those "rare" finds even though I keep looking...

But...ONE 'O THESE DAYS!! (think positive, think positive)...I might get lucky, eh?

Soft landings.

You know, Scooter...dang it all if I didn't get myself in trouble by looking at the kit offering! Mentioned it to my wife and...

BTW: When we use to visit my father in Melbourne we'd all hop in the car and go to Plant City for strawberry shortcake or whatever in the early Spring. Boy was that GOOD!!

HUGE is right...and really good eating. Hadn't thought about those "cakes" in awhile...

Actually my wife said it would be OK (she ALWAYS does); it's me...I keep looking at the 20 kits (really!) and the 26 plan sheets for "I really need to build this one, dear" projects that are sitting on the shelves in my basement. Still...

Soft landings.

Whoa! That might be better than Strawberry Shortcake...well, wait a minute here....

INCOMING OFFER!! My wife likes it...SHE said to get it I do believe the model would be a fun project and the idea of putting a set of floats on the plane is a nice touch. Love those Golden Age planes!!

Soft landings.
