Default Super Skybolt Kit

Hey - need help

I'm flying a superskybolt kit equipped with SAITO 125.

During probably the 20th flight the front cabane wire had broken just 1cm below the wing. She landed safely!

Did it happen to anyone?

Any ideas on how to fix it. I do not believe that the cabane assembly can be opened.

Thanks!!!

This is the first time I have heard of a cabane wire breaking.

I would find a brass tube (about 15 - 20mm long) that the wire will slip into. Slide it over the break and silver solder it in place

Thanks much,

First i agree that its odd. No damage to the wing or cabane assembly.

I forgot to mention that the break is just 2mm below (practically inside) the upper part of the soldered joint, and I do not have the broken piece!!!

Proceeding your recommendation a posibility is to open the soldered joint, creat the missing piece from 1/8" wire, solder with tube and resolder the joint, what do you think?

Thanks again!!!

Was it the result of a cold solder joint? Have a picture?
