Has anyone noticed a common thread here, order from Laser-works and you get a good product. Been to his shop, he does very good work and for a reasonable price. seems to go just a little more that what you expect. Something not very common today.

Late Update.

I got my Cessna 195 kit from Cornell Michaels kit cutting. It took awhile to get it done but I must say that the parts are cut very very well. The parts fit the plans spot on. Michael (not Cornell) did a very good job with this kit. Only had one minor problem with one part. As soon as I notified Michael he cut another and had it to me in a week. Other than the longer wait for him to cut the kit ( part my fault as I told him 60 days would be fine) I'm very very happy with his work.

as for cutters.......i tried pck...(precision cut kits).....guy was a jerk......i instead called wendell.....he referred me to cornell michaels. email is: [email protected] he cuts by HAND......a tad slow.....but does good work. he cut out my wh t craft for me.

Referencing Precisioncutkits. I received an E-mail from them recently that they are no longer accepting any new plans. So it seems they are out of the choises one has for custom kit cutters

He already has a lot of the popular Ziroli short kits "computerized" as well as others. I was thinking about building a Claude Baskin ME109E when I contacted Jesse about cutting the kit. He advised he had just cut one recently and already had the plans for that plane "computerized" and wouldn't need my plans. Jesse even offered to put me in touch with the builder he had just cut the kit for as the builder was going to make his own cowling plug for the plane and would probably pull me a cowling in fiberglass as well for a fee (Jesse = awesome). I think his set up fee was around $75 dollars (the person he used to scan the plans charged around $13 per sheet but it's been a while so I may be wrong) $150 for the short kit.

I contacted Jesse after some recommendations here on RCU, everyone that had bought from him was very pleased with the quality of his work.

I must agree with this statement. Thought he was going to finally send product a few weeks ago when he promised it AGAIN for the 10th time. Nothing but the run-around. The guy is a criminal. He should be ashamed of himself but I really doubt that he cares. It's rather unfortunate that a stand up guy like Mace Gill recommended this thief to me. Reflects very poorly on Mace who had built such a great reputation.

The Alabama Better Business Bureau lists John Monaghan's company with a grade of F. If anybody would like, PM me and I will give you John's home address....the BBB gave it to me.

This guy John is a criminal. He almost got me for over $800.00. But a guy he used to work for was also a victom and gave me his personal contact info. I had the Police in his area contact his wife and she was so shocked that I could reach out and get all the info on her husband and still be 1500 miles from him. She did the right thing and refunded my paypal account the money. This poor woman was getting screwed by John in more ways that one. I pray she took her kids and got far away from this pure creep.
If you look in the dictionary under "creep" You'l see Johns picture. All this happened over two years ago...perhaps someone else got to him and beat the snot out of him. I had him banned from this site due to too many unresolved complaints I think he was going by the name of" P-47 master" or something like that. Not surer if that is it but P-47 was part of his screen name that I am sure of.

I don't know about some of you but Cornell Michaels has had my deposit since November 2007[:@] !!! Who wants to bet I ever see my Transavia Airtruk kit?? I have gotten the same run around with cornell michaels.In july 08 he tells me by email he was sick.Then further down the way maybe nov.his shop was falling apart or something of that nature,ceilling need repairs.Then he was going to get to smaller kits cut and get on my kit.Well I emailed him around the beggining of january of 2010 and have recieved no ansewer.Guess I'm out 250.00 bucks[&o].I used jesse at laserlizard before 2thumbs up.Also a great guy to have laser work is Bob Holman in california.Very nice to deal with.My 2cents.

I have ordered and received 3 kits at 2 seperate times from Lazer Works. Price was just as he said and delivered in a timely manner. Stand up guy and great to do business with. Would order from him again in a minute.

Well,I received a email from cornell michaels yesterday, " Hi Stephan will get to you as I have had operation on my legs which has layed me up for some time and wasn't able to stand.I promise Ill get it out on table here and get to you in thext few weeks here.I never stand anyone up as long as I can stand so Ill get to it as fast as I can and Ill get it to you so you can build...Warmest Regards,Cornell" .

For guys in Canada, I can also cut parts from any plan that you can send me by e-mail. I also have the right of cutting the Wendell Hostetler plan.

I have ordered 3 short kits from "Fast Eddie" @ Lazer-Works in
Wichita Falls, TX. and can say he is a real pleasure to deal with, just
last week, Monday the 1st of March, I e-mailed him a drawing of some
servo boxes I wanted him to cut for me to install in the wings of my Byron
RV-4 I am modifying and trying to finsih off before the summer, gave him my
cell number to call me when he had them done so I could pay him, yesterday
they arrived in the mail, to my surprise in only 7 days, now that's service.
Had to call him to see what the bill was, and Ed always has time to chat with
you on any project, or question about any of the short kits he offers, my next
to send is going to be the Hostetler Tri-Pacer.

BTW guys Eddie is not only a kit cutter he is also a model builder & flyer,
don't have time to build that plane you always dreamed of he'll build it for
you to any stage you require.

Oh BTW I'm not kin to Ed nor do I get paid to plug his services, I'm just a
very satisfied customer.

Also had bad experience with PCK. Even offered to travel to see him with plans and go over problems and miscuts and omissions for correction. "Too busy"!! He did do one recut of some parts for me, but even they were wrong. Felt like I was robbed.

Well you guys know the old saying "You Reap what you Sow", I guess MR. Larry Katona
has gotten to big to take care of those that got him where he is at today. If he continues
to neglect the paying customer it will only be a short period of time before he will become
a "used to be kit-cutter".

Stephan Im still around and still cutting kits.I recooped from my medical and back to getting on my feet.In most cases have gotten all there kits except for you and would be more than glad to complete it for you.My medical plan had stopped and I was in dire need to be seen by doctors and not being or having medical plan hurt me.Working for a company that I had to take to court just to get medical and rembursment for my 5 years off work was killing me.All that was said about me in RC Universe was alot of gump and I have never screwed anybody out of anything.Im honest as day is long just medically detained at the time and now trying to atleast get back on my feet with kit cutting and soon to come out with new 1/3 scale line of models which will be offered on my website Im gonna have done.

Sir I do apologize for your inconvience and will get you your kit as soon as I can and we can get adjusted on the remaing fee..Ive got yout plans at 117"ws here and will get it finished..

Just last week I settled with the company I was with and they are to get my medical reinstated so I will be able to have things taken care of that have gotten way out of hand for a man of my age..
