Default Super Sktbolt Question

Hello,
I'm about half way thru my kit and have come to the part where you glass the I-struts. Now I have little experence glassing any thing. I've been reading on RCU that you can use resin like Z=poxy or water based pu. Would they be the same strengh wise? I have some PU but would have to go buy resin

Thanks
Rick.
