I look forward to your build. thanks... I am of the belief that spruce spars are always worth the slight increase in weight but I understand your perspective.
Also, I will post a shot of my current project just for fun.
Do you fly as a cropduster and acrosport pilot?

navy nice ultra sport I've always thought about building one of those just haven't got there yet
I fly as a cropduster for a living, my brother and I own the business together he manages and i do most of the flying and we just upgraded to a 602 this year (five blade prop sure does look better
) However we do own the acrosport together and we bought it two years ago and i've been practicing some basic manuvers and hope to get up with a guy this summer that has a sukhoi and competes with it to help me better my full scale aerobatics, we are hoping to have a good enough season to hopefully trade the acro for a s-2b pitts, we also bought a citabria this year for scouting fields and etc up in illinois its the version with the inverted oil and fuel but doesnt perform well inverted, mostly just a roller and looper, basic stuff
