Lofting out is drawing out your full size drawings from scale, so as you can build your boat accurately, lay out your diveline, decklines, sheerlines and bulkheads etc and get them all correct, This is why most boat builders have a loft or at least a clear clean deck area. I too am a boat builder by trade. These days a lot of boat plans already come with full size drawings and templates, therefore saving you the tedious task of lofting out, an example of which is Glenn.l boat plans

I was going to build the wing for Wasp...when his shipment finally came I agreed
it was a bad deal...wing ribs and dirty, used plans for 70 bucks plus $25 shipping?
Guess the term "the customer is always right" does not apply in the r/c hobby...

who says he gets to slip away free? If he is dirty then expose him, change your thread title and lets all call him out. We are all his potential customers right?
Lets put his butt in bind and explain himself, He cant ignore all of us can he?

Ghia,, I feel you are right !! but I told a friend I wanted to release the name and he asked me "why, what would that do for me", I really didn't understand that because I feel everyone should know about him, but I guess not releasing the name is the mature thing to do, so I didn't,,
just be careful, know what your gitting !!

I have never bought a "wing kit" so I don't really know what is included, but if I talked to someone who repeatedly referred to what he was selling as a "wing kit", I would expect it to include everything the original kit included with respect to the wing. That would include the ribs, spars, leading and trailing edges, aileron material and even a strip of fiberglass cloth if the wing halves are glued together and require the fiberglass for added strength. And $80.00 certainly sounds like it should include all the above. I would be miffed if such were not the case, and I really don't feel I should have to grill him as to what is included if he kept referring to it as a kit. Sounds to me as if he should have called this just a set of ribs. Unfortunately, I guess this is where we have come these days, even in RC which I long regarded as kind of a cut above the average bunch of schmucks. I would probably be way more vocal about it than Wasp is.
