Default Four Star questions

Are the mounting rails for the servo tray and the aileron servo not included with the kit?

On the 4*40 I don't think so. I used a plastic Futaba tray and cut some scrap hardwood rails for it to mount to.

You must be asking about the 4*40. I would be very susprised if the kit didn't include them. On the 4*60, there are three pages in the instruction manual showing all of the sheet cut parts. It doesn't show the individual sticks though. Check the pages of the manual to see if they weren't included.

I don't think they were with my 4*40 either. When I first built it, I pieced together a "servo tray" out of 1/4" sticks. It worked, but it was a mess. When I rebuilt it this winter, i cut a tray out of 1/8 ply and attached it to some rails inside the fuse.

Whether or not they come in the kit, it's just a matter of cutting a couple of sticks.

I also used a couple of 1/4" sticks to mount the aileron servo in the original build. During the rebuild, I mounted dual aileron servos on plywood plates.

You can see the old and new setups in my build thread:

Good luck

I didn't think they did. Just wanted to make sure.

Recently finished a four star 40. Servo tray definitely not part of the kit. I made one from 3mm birch ply and some spruce tri-stock for rails.
