AMR Giant Stick 50
Hello,
I just wanted to let everyone know that Michel @ AMR is about to release a new 50cc size plane. I guess Michel got tired of me hounding him about a AT-401 project :-)) and agreed to send me the new proto giant stick. I plan on using the new XYZ 50cc engine for this plane. Michel is shipping the kit out today. I will start the build thread when I receive the kit. Michel still has the builders manual to put together though, he is going to send me photos on an CD for my build.
More to follow.

I've got Nosen Giant in my fleet that has to have 50 flights on it by now. Anxious to see what they come up with as far as ease of build. I'm sure its all interlocking ply and much quicker and lighter assembly than the Nosen kit. Would love to see a 100cc version. Whats this kit cost? Thanks, Jerry.

You guys will not believe the quality of the wood they use in their kits,
The quality of the wood and laser cutting is excellent and nice hardware as well.

You tell me when you have the 12 footer done, I want one BAD. I love my Nosen Giant and Giant Giant sounds even better. Throw a good DL100 on it and it would be a sweet bird. Can't wait. Trike or Tail dragger? Thanks, Jerry.

Michel has been sending me updates and photos of his build of the Giant Stick. AMR is going to have a real winner with this one. The construction and design are fantastic. Michel has done a super job and the results speak for themselves when you look at his pictures.

I must first echo everyone else that has purchased an AMR kit, the quality of the wood, laser cutting; accessories and customer support are second to none! I have managed to get the tail pieces together, hinged and rough sanded. Also, the wing jig boxes are finished. Will start laminating the ribs and start the assembly of the wings. My work bench is 3’ x 9’!

RE: AMR Giant Stick 50
I checked out this website http://www.amr-rc.com/ but found no mention of the Stick models.
Where does one buy them and for how much?
Thanks,
Clay

Well Michel I spoke with my son and to my surprise he is very interested. He has only been flying for 14 months and only had ARFs so far. I would have bet he would say he is not interested in building a kit. Well he surprised me. My Boss (wife) also gave the OK so as soon as I finish the 50Triner and get the mess cleaned up this will be the next bird in the hanger. I am excited about getting my son into both Gas and giants. He is 14 and likes spirited stuff so I think this will do the trick. Nothing matches AMR customer service. Michel went to the shop around 9PM one night to check something for me. That is way beyond what anyone could possibly expect.

RE: AMR Giant Stick 50
I have had two sticks (40 & 60 size) and I loved them both.
The design is as close to perfect as you can get, it is aerobatic, steady, predictable and fun.
I'll be interested to see if this giant scale will be just as wonderful as it's little brothers.
Good Luck!

Ron congrats on your planned build with your son. I can still remember my first build with my Dad when I was 10 years old. I was a Piper Supercub Cruiser with about a 28" span. I was hooked from then on.
Michel if you get a chance take a picture with someone by the plane so everyone sees just how big it is.

I managed to finish the wing jigs and also laminated ribs that required laminating. All the ribs laid up on the jigs and the wing construction begins! I really like the thought process that Michel has put into the construction of his airplane designs, makes for a true accurate / straight build. My table top is 3’ x 9’!
bbbair, should fit the bill to everything that you have mentioned. Straight wing, taildragger...gotta love them
