Default Hobby Lobby Telemaster 40 wing joining

How has everyone joined the wings on their telemaster 40 kits? The plans say to use 4 to 6 oz fiberglass cloth soaked in CA... we don't want to take out a new loan for that much CA. Is there a better way? Has anyone used fiberglass resin or something else entirely?

I used 3M77 spray adhesive to stick the fiberglass cloth to the balsa sheeting and worked it a little to get it nice and flat (no wrinkles). Then I mixed up some 30 minute epoxy and put small amounts over the 'glass cloth. Next I used an old credit card as a spreader to get a nice even coat. I've used this technique for several planes and it seems to work well.

I also used the epoxy method can do used. Bullet proof. If my wing folds it won't be at that joint.

Thanks fellows - just the info I needed. We'll try the 3m77 and epoxy method.

i didnt like the finish i got after applying the epoxy to the glass cloth. i too used 3m 77 to keep it down. after it all cured up....i layed a 1/32 sheet of balsa sheeting over the glassed area. it looks nice and smooth....and covering will be easier. i just feathered out the edges to the original surface outside of the cloth area. jmo.

I use much lighter glass and just resin that I buy at the hardware store just for center sections.
