Oh yeah, I saw the horse power figures quoted earlier in the thread.
It is hard to find information that is more worthless than the manufacture's horse power rating.
While static rpm is not the absolute last word for engine performance it is about the only meaningful method to compare engines.
There are threads already started for many engines in the tachometer readings forum http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_173/tt.htm
While there is plenty of wild claims there for many of the engines it is still one of the better sources to try to gather information.
The info needed is:
Engine, prop, fuel / nitro, rpm (peak or sustained)
Statements like swings xxx prop easily mean nothing.
Horizon also publishes benchmark prop and rpm on many Saito engines.
