Hello Guys; Im just finishing up a Telemaster 40 from an old borrowed set of plans and was wondering if anyone could share with me the recommended throws on the control surfaces.
I was really more concerned about the ammount of differential that may or may not be required for the ailerons??
Thanks; Adam

Adam,
I'm assuming this is not your first plane. Having said that, set up what looks good, and go with it. I'm on my 3rd Telemaster .40 in 18 years, and my second Sr. Tele. I usually set up the maximum I can get on high rate and about half that for low rate, with about -30% expo if you have that capability.
I haven't found much that you can do to a Telemaster to make it fly bad. I did find, however, that a 3D setting on the elevator throw will make it interesting! You can have a lot of fun with a Telemaster.
go for it,
Randy

Hi Randy; I agree, Ive seen guys do a lot of wild stuff with a Telamaster. :stupid: Ill have to play with the differential. I think Ive got about twice as much up as down to start with.
Im actually building it to try out some float flying for the first time
but Ill get it sorted out dry first.
Ive flown a lot of different stuff over the years and its been a while since Ive done the setup on a high winged/flat bottom trainer.
Its got an OS 70 in it and hopefully if the weather straightens out Ill get a chance to try in the next few days.
I did recently get my hands on a set of plans for the Giant 144" Telemaster. That should be nice!!!

woops, I think you meant to say your brain quit first, then the engine quit as a result of hitting the dirt at about 40 mph. Flat bottom wings make very little lift upside down(its kind of a rule of aeronautics)

I'm sure that you have seen me fly it inverted at full throttle before without any problems.( with almost full down elevator)If you haven't then you can ask many members of VRCFC.
