Default sig Mid Star 40 build question...

Hello,

What do you think of using balsa instead of lite-ply for the sides of the fuselage?

Thanks</p>

Bad idea...that would take away one of the strong points of
this plane and that is its ruggedness. Plus the airframe
would not benefit at all from the weight savings which is
what I assume you are after.

This plane flies on its wing and a few ounces (or even a pound)
one way or another wont make any difference.

Ive seen a number of Four Stars develop fuselage cracks.
That something that isnt likely to happen with a Midstar.
