Default building pins

looking for small building pins that have a red plastic knob they
are small and don't split balsa pieces.
thought I got them from Tower but I can't find them listed.

Tried going to WalMart and checking out the sewing department? Most fabric stores will carry this type of pin for quilting.

Cheers,

found them thanks to HAIFA. Not at Hobby Lobby. They are the Midwest Grip pins and are at Tower Item # LXRRG8. especiall like them when adding cap strips to wings.ribs .they don't split the ribs or cap strips.

The biggest advantage I have found is that they are much thinner and sharper than T-pins or standard straight pins, less splitting of thin and/or hard balsa. The downside is that they will bend a lot easier, particularly thick and/or hard balsa.

correct! which is why I have 3 different sizes of "T" pins AND "grip-pins" in my shop - the correct pin for any and every job, just like any other tool.
