I have the ISC Staudacher (see pic to left) very good arc, been flying for about a year, 50 + flights with G45 up front. Yes this bird tip stalls too! Just read in Model Airplane News??? about someone experimenting with putting on straight pieces of wood at the tips or the wing about 3/4" bigger then the tip size. They said it improved the tip stalls and allowed them to land slower. They said it pushed more air over the ailerons by forcing it back on the control surface, I might even try this too??

Before, committing to any major wing modifications, try raising both ailerons. Yes, I meant RAISING them - about 1 to 1.5 turns on the clevis should do. This has the effect of creating washout at the tips, thereby, making the wing root stall before the tips do.

I am flying the Extra 300 with YS 120 at about 12 pounds, and I can bring it in really slow. It lands great. Mine is easy to fly and has no bad habits. It is one of my favorites. That being said another club member had one with an OS 160 twin and he said his was a slug. His was heavier than mine also.

Thanks for the reply...How was this kit to build? How are directions, etc? I have not seen this company, ISC INT, advertised any recently..I wonder if they are still in business. I think that they were located in Champaign, Ill..Thanks for reply
