On page 10 of the instruction book step 38 it says to glue the landing gear mount to the sides, the dublers, and the bottom of the F-2. I noticed the landing gear mount has a very small gap where F-2 and landing gear are supposed to meet. Like the picture in step 40. I have no gaps in any of the slots where the F-2 joins the the fuselage. What should I do to correct the problem? If I try to uninstall F-2 I will have to cut the notches in order for the F-2 to meet up with the landing gear or should I not worrry about. Thanks in advance for any help anybody can give.

I am assembling a kit myself, but I haven't yet reached the point you are at, sorry.

Is the gap between the fuselage sides and the landing gear mount? I had this problem with my 4*40 and on closer examination the landing gear mount sides were not parallel so I binned it and made a new mount from 6mm ply. I made the new piece to fit snuggly into the fuselage sides and to butt up against former 2, then also fitted tri stock all around on the underside for added support. Fitted the landing gear with 1/4x20 nylon bolts.
