just bought an airtronics new era 40 complete still in the box . 14.00 at a yard sell . i am going to build it, but was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. seems to be a real nice kit all the piece are cut and sanded. has tail dragger or tricycle landing gear i like tricycle landing and am probly going with that option. how old is this kit. and how well do they fly .thanks for any info Lee

I had one of the .25 sized ones. It was a favorite of mine. Airtronics kits were always beautiful, with great wood and excellent instructions. This may have been a featured plan on R/C Modeler. I'm not sure if their plans service is still functioning but it might be worth it to check as they give a copy of the construction article with each plan. You got a fantastic deal.

Actually mine is the .25 size but I do also have a .40 size kit in my collection. No problems with the build. As I said, a very nice kit. Excelent quality wood and all the parts fit together beautifully.
