Default Jigsaw or?

Hi guys,
I'm a foam flyer, but my intention is to build.. just buld. I like the process, i like the hardware... hope you understand.
So i got some hydroboat kit plans, now they are printed 1:1. To buy a balsa is just a matter of lhs visit.

But.. how to cut those different shapes correctly? I have a Fret saw, but wish to have some el. gizmo.

What do you use when making kit?
Thank you

Alex

Yup. You can do about anything with a scroll saw. Next tool would be a band saw.

Scroll saw, just go to Harbor Freight and take a look at the standard size. A good saw can be had for about 100 bucks. A cheap belt/disc sander is used in my shop as much as the saw. The wood we use in making up our own kits doesn't require a lot of power or high priced tools.

Hi Alex, that little jig saw would be great for "Light" work, say up
to approximately 3 to 4 mm balsa wood, but I have my doubts on
the power and durability for plywoods any thicker than 2 mm.

Glad to hear from a modeller in Slovakia, a few years back we had the
pleasure hosting a young lady from your country as a foreign exchange
student, one of the greatest pleasures of my life, as see showed great
interest my hobby at the time which was racing model hydroplanes.

Is it wrong that everything I know about Slovakia I learned from watching 'Hostel' and 'Hostel 2' ?

It's good to see that you have other interests besides luring tourists to their doom with your 'sexy good times'.

Good luck

Remember Barat? it was filmed in Romania, even state plates were there with romanian numbers and signs.

Back to the topic, ok?

I think i'll buy this

Those jigsaw tables are probably fine, you just need to buy the jigsaw to mount underneath it. I have has a Bosch hand-held jigsaw for 15 years, and it is a great machine.

And I figured Slovakia was a lot nicer than it gets credit for in movies. There are a lot of beautiful, old cities unlike anything we have here in the US.

Jigsaw is a nice addition to home tools, so no problem. Or can make something to make it moving, using high torque dc motor.
Yes, Slovakia is very nice, just try to query google for Bratislava, Trnava, Trencin, Kosice and switch to Images, and check that beauty.
