Default Next Kit

Hey guys, I think I found my next kit to build. Great Planes is reissuing their F14.

I always wanted one, but seemed like everyone wanted to much because it was discontinued. At towers price I can see one in the near future. I would have rather seen a F15 since the E models fly over head here at Seymour, but I will take what I can get for now.

I had 2 of them back when they came out, used an OS 61 SF for power and had retracts on them. Nice flying plane, lands a little on the hot side you drive it in, it don't float. Fun build, do a good job when you balance it out.

What kind of retracts did you have?

I used hobbico mechanical retracts at that time. They were a little bit on the lite side for this plane. If you want to use a mech. retract the ones from Robart are a better set. If I was to build another one i would have to go with Robart air retracts.
