I will be getting a hog bipe as soon as sig gets all the balsa cut... I was wondering if anyone has cut the right side of the fuse flush with the firewall so you could mount the motor sideways and make cleanup easier. What structural problems will this cause? Will it weaken the firewall mounting?

Yes, people have done it. No, it won't weaken anything.

Saw one like that with a 60 size CAP 21 cowl put on instead of the cheeks.

That's your answer. There are several cowls that will fit. I think if you call Fiberglass Specialties he will tell you which have been bought for the Pig.
