The Sig is more scale, the Goldberg is far the easier build.
Do you want scale, or do you want 1/3 to 1/2 the building time?
Flying? A Cub is a Cub is a Cub is a Cub is a Cub is a Cub...
Unless you clip the wing, or...
Bill.

Ditto to what Bill said. I just wanted to add that whichever way you go, don't be afraid to clip the wing. A clipped wing cub will still float like the full wing version, but it is easier to turn, and much more capable of doing aerobatics. (All in all, a much more fun plane to fly!)

I have to admit I based my comment on the 1/6 kit. I've built two, have another in the box to build. Never done the 1/5 kit, I supposed it was more of the same. I suspect MinnFlyer is in the same boat.

I built the Sig 1/6 scale kit and found it a joy to build, but this kit is not for the person who does not have alot of time and kit building experience. (I just love to built kits). The 1/5 scale sig kit is a great laser cut kit and builds quickly. The parts seem to almost put themselves together, unlike the 1/6 scale kit which is a stick build kit. I find that both kits fly just like a cub should. If you want a more scale like cub take the 1/5 scale sig. It is a great kit. Here is a picture of the 1/6 scale I built that took a year to put together working off and on on it.

I'm no expert on Cub's or scale building, but I bought the GP 60 size. Clipped wing version to 83" (I think). Good quality but still requires building/covering skill. I have OS .91 Surpass and it flies great. A little squirrelly on the ground, but I am told full scale Cubs were famous for ground looping.
Flying requires coordinated rudder turn--it is very sensitive to rudder input. I am getting pretty comfortable with it, but last week during a series of take-off/landings, I panicked when it veered toward me on take off and put it in from about 5'. Minor damage.
Good luck with your Cub.

Got your mail but could not get out. It is hard to choose kits they both fly great. I bought the sig because I was a sig dealer after I got it it, built real well and had no problems, build the landing gear with a forward angle and angle the tail wheel gear back to stop chatter. wings are built in two pieces and are joined with a tube, make sure you use the struts and they can be removed or left on in transit kit can be built with both clipped wing or standard . Parts for both are in kit , you can scratch what ever one you don't build with a few more ribs. I have a Mag 52 4 st in mine and flies great. build it light they fly like the real cub. Don't take any chances . GREAT KIT mount motor with head out right cowl.
Good luck and happy flying
Any other QS. just ask and some one here will gladly help or maybe I can get out on EM.
