Sig kits are a bit spotty right now as they are dealing with a short supply of wood. Last I heard the 4-star 60 was in stock, so check their website. www.sigmfg.com . If not, take a look at the BTE Venture 60. Bruce Tharpe designed the 4-Star 40 and 120, and then started his own company to and did the Venture 60. It's an improved version of the 4-stars. Very nice plane. www.btemodels.com

Tailskid,
I am back in hotter than H__L Afghanistan. It was 110 in the shade at 7:30am the other day. Perry was fun I was late getting there but I did pick up a 60 size Stick. I let a couple of good deals get away from me though. I tell you the truth this forum helps me keep my sanity.

Yesterday in Vegas on the strip it was 112, I went over to the south point to see a movie on the south end then over to the silverton/bass pro and it was 120 over there. Talk about hot pockets. You don't have to go out of country to find hot!! Keep your head down!!!!!!!!!!!!

Graybeard,
I have been to Vegas in July, I even spent the night in Henderson. It was a while back though. Yep I thought the tires were going to melt of my bike. It has to be tough living there at times dealing with the heat. I would not mind living out there myself it is beautiful out there. The dry lake bed that you fly from looks like a perfect place. Who know after this war is over and we finish work over here I may be flying beside you with my 4* 60. I love that plane!!! I will do my best to keep my head down. We have gotten hammered the last two nights...

Hi all!

Thought I would say that SIG got there shipment of wood in a couple of weeks ago and are busy trying to fill orders. I placed a big order with them in mid June. I ordered a 4-Star 40, 2 Something' Extras and two Sig Hog Bipes. The 4 star shipped right away, the two extras shipped this morning (should have them by July 23 , but I was told that the bipes will not ship until the end of August. No problem. I have an Ultra Sport 60 on the table and I will start the Sig Extra on another table when it comes in.

Happy flying and soft landings!

Most of the Goldberg planes are still available, they are just labeled differently on Tower Hobbies now. If you search by "Goldberg" you won't get much of anything. But if you do a search on "Great Planes Goldberg" you will find most of the Goldberg line still available.

Actually, Tower carries more kit makers than that:
