RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?

Heron-Squab:
Me like you? What an ego. Haw. Not A radial, two radials. I'm working on another F7F Tigercat. The original had R-2800 engines, two banks of nine cylinders. seven cylinder engines are pretty close. using five cylinder engines would stick out like a sore thumb. Bill. |
RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?
Bill, That's too bad about the radials. If you have to settle for another brand, Saito's ain't too bad.
Barron, I haven't told Don yet, but the WACO is on it's way!!! Don, Got any WACO books? |

Tom:
The Saitos are excellent engines, but the only ones small enough are the FA-90R3s. Three cylinders just don't make it for my eyes. Bill. |
RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?
Bill, That back order thing is going around. I was just notified that my WACO is back ordered, no ETA.
The solution to your problem is simple. Build a larger F7F!!! Is yours plans built or a kit? I've seen a large one on the flyin circuit in Michigan. Flies well and is FAST!!!. |

This one big enough? Not mine, but I think it's very good looking. Has a pair of G-38 engines. Bill. |
RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?
Bill, The plane in that pic looks to be the same size as the one I've seen. Those big Saito's would sure fly that. Think BIG!!!

This thread has gone on for 21 pages, over 18 of them totally off topic. I think it is about time to shut this one down and start a new one.
