Pretty close, I have to make the aileron rods, set the throws and it can be ran to set the pipe.
I come in right at 7 pounds The colors are probably not for everyone, and I'm not really sure myself but here's the deal............ I don't build stuff to look at it............... or admire setting in the pits area at the flying field. I build stuff to fly, always and often, so I need to be able to see it, the color scheme has to be visible. My concern is if I can see it at 2000 feet away or on a long final for a landing approach. I think this ole gal will look great in the air.......................................:cool: |

Remember when you could buy any width header from Mac's website to match your fuselage? A header and pipe cost more today than the engine itself. It's now a hobby of improvisation, and what Dave Platt called years ago, the principle of scarfology. |

From your fuselage graphics only pic to your finished graphics it's outstanding. Very nicely done is an understatement. A question, were the plans you have from the Eureka short kit? I looked up the plans from Outerzone and they don't have the extra views which I believe help a lot. I assume you made your own balsa list to finish the build.

Hey Dave, thanks for the comeback. I went further on Outerzone and found your plan (and supporting docs) shown in your pictures. My bad. I'm getting back into the RC world and pattern planes are my weakness. I research a lot of builds but haven't pulled the trigger on which one to start building. Look forward to your maiden flights. I understand, there are many to choose from. I really did enjoy building the troublemaker, but also enjoyed doing the Integra and Hammer 60. You will find what you want. The build threads can be found here also in the kit building section.....The eureka short kit was my first with that company.........very nice wood and cutting. I think I prefer the kit build over the short kit build, but good luck finding a troublemaker kit............

Got my first real set back today, was doing a pre cover balance to see if I’m close on c/g. I added the 5 servos, prop, everything except covering and had to add a ton of tail weight to make it balance. In total I’m going to have to add 5-6 oz of tail weight bringing my all up weight to 6.35 with no covering. I shouldn’t ***** too much, I’ll still be right around 6.5 or slightly over. I read online others were between 7 and 8 pounds so I’m bummed but it is what has to be done.
