Covering Question

I have a Guillow P-51D that has tissue/dope covering instructions. Is it possible to cover with Ultracote? If so, do I need to sheet portions of the wings?

Thanks

RE: Covering Question

No problem.

The UC may twist the wing a bit. If it does (once it is fully covered), just reheat the covering while holding the wing straight

RE: Covering Question

I really belive that standard Ultrcote covering is too heavy a material for a Gillows P-51 you need a light weight covering.
try Coverlite from Tower

or Solar Film Lite

RE: Covering Question

Thank you both. I should've stated that this, my second powered model, will be powered by an .020, very likely, for free-flight. The ultracote is a dense material and I'll look at the other two recommendations.

Thanks again.
