Dumb Question?
If I wanted to put say 5 degrees of down thrust to a firewall, how would I do this? Would the firewall be slanted to the bottom or to the top (if that makes sense)? Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks, Crash Master |
Dumb Question?
My trainer has 6 degrees downthrust. The engine angles downward.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks, Crash Master Down thrust is litteraly moving the thrustline to provide more downward thrust. Generally to offest drag above centreline as with a high wing trainer that tends to climb when more thrust (throttle) is used. You could change the firewall or - add a couple washers to the top mounting bolts of your mount - or add a couple washers to the rear mounting bolts of your engine (assuming it's mounted upright, front bolts if mounted inverted) |
Dumb Question?
That's exactly the information I was looking for.
