RE: Which Cub Builds Easiest ??
I have flown the Goldberg and the Great Planes(40) Cub and they are both good planes, the Goldberg is definitely heavier. If I had to choose between the two I would go with the G/P.
I went up with an instructor in a full scale J-3 and got 4 hours of stick time, one of these days I will get back into it. You would not believe how much a little stick time in a plane will help your R/C flying. It teaches you alot about airspeed management. The great thing about a J-3 you fly at 2/3 throttle with a 60mph cruise and when you get the plane trimmed out it will try to maintain 60mph. Once you get into the pattern just throttle back and fly it to the runway and flare out. I was landing the plane by the end of my 2nd lesson. I would suggest to anyone to give it a try at their local airport it is a blast!! Later!! Anthony |
RE: Which Cub Builds Easiest ??
Redneck,
Take a look at this site. www.adrianpage.com He makes an 80 inch super cub with doors. It is intended for E-power but will convert to glow with out a problem. It's lazer cut, interlocking and costs less than most of the cubs around. It lists for 129.00 but you can get one from his ebay store for a few bucks over $100. I am looking at buying one for my next build. |
