If in doubt the Four Stars do rather well as just Red, Yellow, or White with the typical Four Star Decals floated on with Windex but then I guess it will look like everyone else's

RE: 4*120 Build Thread

yeah.....no 4* decals though.....:D

i'm going for the.."retro racer" look....:D

Some people have the ability and others don't ?

I'm not sure this sums it up. None of us had all the knowledge when we started. We made a commitment to try and kept at it. Each time we build or cover we learn a little more and our skills got a little better. it takes time. Many in to days world don't want to invest the time. They what it NOW! They don’t want to put out the effort.
For some, it is a labor of love!

jship,

That would have described me in the past, but now I love to build as much as fly. I even think I am a better builder than a flyer.

To day I have worked on the carburetor, got the throttle linkage hooked up and the fuel tank in. Also put in the wing servos. Also put in the hard points for the tail wires.

Getting ready to start on the electronic ignition system. I have never done one of these before! The manual that came with the electronic ignition says that it operates on 4.8v or 6.0v. Then it says “do not allow the battery to drop below 3 volts which may damage your ignition module“. I’m not sure if I want to go 4.8 or 6 volts. I have both batteries.

I'm going to leave the top open at least till I get the electronic ignition in.

I don’t want to burn the CDI out before I get started.

I hooked my batteries up to the ignition just like it was another radio. I used 1400 mah and they were good for at least 10 flights in a day

RE: 4*120 Build Thread

i am using the same ones...i didn't notice until they came in the mail, but apparently i need to find the air pump for these??

no updates on my side, I'm still waiting for SIG to ship my plane. They have kits, but are waiting for the plans to get done at the printer's. Everything else is here ready to go. I can't wait. Still trying to figure out a color scheme. I know i want yellow and blue, and picked up 2 rolls of each. We'll see. I've been working on some designs on photoshop. I don't have a three view of this plane, so i've been going off of a three view i have for a different plane.

i don't suppose anyone has a three view of this plane they can upload???
