Well, I finally decided to work on my corsair. It will have a saito 100 in it with a slimline pits muffler. I already have said engine and muffler NIB. I also have digital servos to put in it also. I have already installed the robart retracts and robo struts. I started this kit in 1995 and should complete it this year. (Can't wait) I have not decided on color scheme yet.
It will be glassed and have flaps. Always wanted one of these.

Is that the 1/8 scale one or the giant scale? If it is the 1/8, I'm not sure how you could fiberglass it with the open bays.

The wing still needs to be sheeted. I am just posting pictures of my progress. Still got a long way to go. It is the 1/8 scale.

Roger dodger on the wings. I have one too. What about the open tail control surfaces?

I covered the tail feathers with white monokote, and then painted it.

Looking good Kelsey_B. I am going to use super shrink coverite on tail surfaces and paint them to match the rest of the airplane. I want that fabric look like the real ones have.
Kelsey_B did you use seperate aileron sevos? If so how did you mount them? Got some sheeting done on the wing last night.

Yes I used separate aileron servos. I'll try to take a picture tonight to show you what it looks like.

The servos are pretty easy. You epoxy 1/4" ply rails to a ply hatch. I used 1/16 ply because I had some. I would probably try to use something a little thinner next time. Here is what mine looks like. I'm sure there are cleaner ways to attach the hatch.

Why are you uisng digital servos? These seem awfully expensive for a 60 size plane.

Thanks for the info on the way you attached your servos. I am going to do it the same way. As for the digital servos, I thought I would try them out. I didnt have anymore servos left so Ibought the digitals.
