Great planes extra 330L giant

I am thinking of building the Great planes Giant extra 330L kit this winter. Has anyone had any experience in building this kit. Recommendations on engines. I want a very aerobatic plane but I am not thinking of doing alot of 3D flying. I really like building the planes I fly. so if there is any information beside the review at great planes that would be great.

Thanks

I have one running a Zenoah G-74 with a Bolly wooden 24x8 prop, it will fly IMAC no problem but it really is low on the power side, needs a motor that can swing a 26x10 easliy and then it would be great. I am using Hitech 5925 servos throughout with a powerbox and JR PPM reciever. It general flying characteristics is fantastic and I enjoy flying it. A really good build.

I was always interested in this kit too, but no it is too late. GP no longer produces the kit so you would have to find one on EBay or here on RCU sale.
A fellow club member has flown this kit to amazing levels of skill. It can do it all if powered right, built right.
I don't understand why they pulled the plug on production - maybe too many "Arf-ers" out there. It's a shame.

I built this kit too. Construction, manual, etc was all excellent.

Mine was way under powered with a G-62. The 62 flew it well, but it really lacked in performance.

I would say that a good 100cc engine is in order.
