Splitting a cowl for mounting a twin cylinder engine

I am about to build a Dynaflite "Fly Baby",1/4 scale and am going to install an OS 120 twin cylinder engine
How are the two halves joined and properly held together and disassembled for maintaince?
I have some ideas but I could be wrong so I need the advice of someone who has done it before.
Thanks,

split cowl

Check your LHS or a modeling buddy and look at one of Harry Higley books (not sure, but it is "probably" in either 'There are no Secrets' or 'Master Modeling"). He has a complete step-by-step article with pictures on splitting a cowl for a two cylinder engine.

As I remember, the finished product was, as are all with Harry, outstanding.

Split the cowl, then add blocks to the bottom half. You can reinforce them with some fiberglass cloth and CA or epoxy, or resin. Then the top can be screwed onto the blocks.

Splitting a cowl for twin cylinder installation

I've talked to a few of my club members, not all of them,( total of 285 members)and received various answers, so I sent for a cowl from StansFiber Tech in Calif.
I explained to Stan what I intended to do and he said he would for a small sum MOLD me a two piece cowl with a built- in lip that the top part of the cowl would sit on
Epoxy some 4-40 blind nuts on the lip and youv'e got the perfect fit.
That was the perfect answer to a problem.
I've never dealt with Stans before but you better believe that I will be his best customer from now on.

Moderator, you can close this thread as my prayers have been answered.
