Well, let me explain first. After my first two Wonders ended up becoming my friends favorite plane to fly when the winds kicked up at the field, they all wanted one ....but did not want to build it?? they are ARF boys, anyway I like building out of a box of sticks,so I was elected to build them (i don't mind thats what friends do ..right??) So I have 4 Wonders to build and just finished up the first one, what can I say hes a KC Fan? so take a look and tell me what ya think?

Looks good. Are you building these all from kits or scratching them from your previous kit plans?

Sig Kits
John,
Thanks, These are Sig Kits, and the cost is only about $35.00 so its not a bad price......but by the time you finish them you still have about 250.00 + but what the heck they are a blast to fly.....cheaper to just buy the kit.IMO tony  |
So....where's mine...
..."Mr. Builder".....

Maiden Flight
Well,I took out the KC Wonder this past saturday for the maiden...what can i say this is a fun plane..the only trim needed was two clicks down. yoy know it still feels great when you build a plane and the first flight is perfect.WOW
i love this hobby!! :D :D :D tony |

I fly a SIG wonder/OS 15FP. It has a 2 oz tank, 2 mini high speed sevos and S148 (Futaba) on the throttle. It must have 200 to 300 flights. They aren't fun to fly in the wind. I think I have test flown Wonders with at least 10 different size engines. I spent quite a bit of time developing a routine whereby I start the engine, switch hands, extend antenna, and throw myself. I belive mine weighs 34 ozs. It has a 27o maH battery.

Sig Wonder Down....3 to Go
Tony,
that thing is great!! im new to this sport and am learning all kinds of stuff, especially how many types of fun planes there are. i want to get one of those, i think the twin engine is cool too, is that a customized version of the Sig Wounder or a totally home-made replica?? ether way it looks like a fun way to start with twin engine models sometimes getting back to basics is the funnest, getting away from all those high priced warbirds and acro planes. keep on havin fun everyone.....we are blessed to have a free country! thank your troops. |

the wonder twin is a unique plane, it has been build by a friend of me, he used 2 wonder kit.
the plane is bigger in wingspan than the normal wonder, has two fuselages and a enlarged tail group. all infos about the wonder twin project are here. http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...ig+wonder+twin] |

the friend of me who builded the wonder twin think that the ultimate wonder should be a single engine .25 size with one more rib bay and operational rudders (like on the twin engine version). we are going to build one.

I believe the ultimate SIG Wonder would weigh less than 30 oz and would most likely be 2 channel (ailerons and elevator). Forget the throttle and what good are rudders going to do a plane that close coupled. And while your at it, leave the throttle off. Mine weighs between 33 and 34 oz and for a Wonder, lighter is better espexially with high speed mini servos.

in our opinion, the ultimate wonder should be able to perform all aerobatics manoeuvres, like flat spins, knife edge and so on. That's impossible to do without rudder and throttle. In order to compensate for the increase in weight, we will build a slightly bigger wing.
the wonder twin you see above fall from the sky in inverted flat spin like a frisbee and when fly by a good 3D pilot (not my case) is able to hover. we compensate the lack of rudders efficiency due to the short tail moment by mixing the rudders with the engines and we use assymetric power in aerobatic diferent opinions, but your idea of keeping it light and simple will certainly result in a Highly nimble funy bird |
