warped balsa
i was given a bunch (about 25 sheets) of 1/8" x4 x 48" balsa sheets that have bad warps...whats the best way to straighten it if possible???

Which direction are the warps? That's a lot of balsa - congrats!
If you moisten them and then bend them the opposite direction, you might be able to remove most of the warp. If not, send them to me and I'll try <g>.... Jerry |

I wouldn't worry about it too much. When you use the stuff, the structure should be able to brace it and remove the warp. But I wouldn't use it for sheet tail surfaces.
Make sure you store it flat. You may want to flip the stack over every week or so. |

thanks for the info...i flipped the sheets against one another and strapped them to a flat surface until i get a chance to work on them...i also heard ironing them might work, so i was thinking...i have a friend at a dry cleaner....big steam tables...hummm...might work.....
