Default warped balsa

i was given a bunch (about 25 sheets) of 1/8" x4 x 48" balsa sheets that have bad warps...whats the best way to straighten it if possible???

Which direction are the warps? That's a lot of balsa - congrats!

If you moisten them and then bend them the opposite direction, you might be able to remove most of the warp.

If not, send them to me and I'll try <g>....

I wouldn't worry about it too much. When you use the stuff, the structure should be able to brace it and remove the warp. But I wouldn't use it for sheet tail surfaces.

Make sure you store it flat. You may want to flip the stack over every week or so.

thanks for the info...i flipped the sheets against one another and strapped them to a flat surface until i get a chance to work on them...i also heard ironing them might work, so i was thinking...i have a friend at a dry cleaner....big steam tables...hummm...might work.....
