I don't know about the color but some of these have steel inner rod all the way through. Unless you have a tight turn I would use these. I don't care for the ones with plastic inner rod with metel ends. Make sure you support these every 6" or so no matter which ones you use.

6" is a but much. Just anchor them to each of the fuse formers

Agreed. Anchor close to each end and about every 8-10 inches (or at formers) midway.

Whichever rod you use, let me throw in one point: For the connectors at the control surfaces: where you exit the fuselage, I suggest using a long threaded rod with the unthreaded part stuck back into the nylon push rod and using the threaded end to attach to both your clevis/ball joint and the inner pushrod. This makes a very stiff pushrod at the exit area. I have seen numerous models with a bendable pushrod in this area. Not a good thing!

Hi hossfly,

Well you did ask for suggestions:D. FWIW I don't like pushrods other than for the short throw for ailerons. I use a pull/pull set up for each elevator half as well as the rudder. They are lighter, much easier to route and they don't flex.

Merry Christmas,

Colin

I'm going with pull pull on elevators and rudder on both my 1/3 pup and cub
