Looks very good , what spinner you have there ??? is the ultimate or the standar shape ???

I have always used the standar shape but in this model it looks very cool the one you have.

Thanks guys. It is a TH 75. It’s used with a GMS muffler I had cut down 1 inch to clear the fuselage. I have another complete engine new in the box if I need it. For the covering scheme I’m going to loosely copy one from an Ultra Bandit in yellow, red & black. The spinner is a Tru Turn but I’m not sure what model it is. I got it at a swap meet for $15 NIB.

KaP2011 I have the saito 100 and it has plenty of power to spare. I had it in a 9 pound texan swinging a 16x6 and it had awesome vertical performance. you would need to use a 13x9 do to the clearance on the us which would be fine for that engine. [8D]

I had been thinking of useing the 100 in a BHM P40 that I got last year and re-kitted, (crashed on my second takeoff) I'm begining to think of rebuilding it.

I know what its like to do the engine jugle too . I had picked up a nib K&B 61 and didn't know what to do with it. So i was surfing the net and found minnfflyers us build thread so i bought the us 60. That year i went to the wram show and ended up bying an os 75ax for a real good price.....needless to say the k&b needed a home again. It found a home with a fellow club member that is on a tite budget.

I was able to fly my US 40 this weekend, The Super Tigre ended up being a 45, not a 40. I started with a 11x6 prop, then changed to a 10x7. It had plenty of power, but not the extra punch I was looking for. I then changed to an APC 10x6. That gave my 13,980 rpm. It flew much faster. I added bigger tires for the grass field, and that may have kept the speed down. I hope to add electric retracts in a few months. Mine is set up as a tail dragger, and I have to give full elevator to keep it from tipping over, so I'm not sure about the retracts on grass. The current gear sits at the front edge of the wing.

I have a 46 AX in my ultra sport and I wish it had more power.

I'm planning on an OS55AX  and fuse mounting my rudder and elevator servos.  I'll use a 12X8 to start.

Mine had (I know past tense[:@]) an OS 46 SF, APC 11X6, Mac's tuned pipe and ran around 13200 on zero nitro fuel. Plenty of power and speed, it would climb vertically out of sight.

I don't think you'll be happy with a 12/8. Try an APC 11/5, 11/6, or 11/7 and take out the baffle. Or if your like me and want to go as fast as you can with the 55, think APC 10/6, 10/7, 10/8. Your US will want to go FAST!! You'll see.

Hey post your numbers with that 12x8 on the 55AX. I'm going to try one on the 65 Sportster.

Try calling GP they may have them. Things always end up as dead stock when items get discontinued.here is the site with part #s http://www.greatplanes.com/parts/gpma0425pl.html

My US 40 has a magnum .61 2 stroke with an apc 11x6 and its way to damn fast for these old eyes.Tried an apc 12x6 and is only marginally slower.

I don't think it's the prop. Sounds like a displacement problem. My brother had a similar problem when he put a 427 into a Pinto. Try taking out the .61 and put in a .40 or take off the 40 airframe and install a 60 size airframe. A US 60 would be easier on the eyes.

I haven't build in years ( ARFs only ) at the clubs meeting one of the guys laugh at me and said, you got yourself a pile of wood, bring an airplane to the next meeting, he gave me the impression that he was saying ( you'll neve build it  ) well since this is my type of aircraft I will have this airplane framed up, in the bones ready to cover by the next clubs meeting ( I got nearly a month ) ;)

I got me the wing plans on the way, and since I have the plan for the fuse that's where I will start, the WX here has been and will be rainny, the only thing to do is repairs and build for now ( cold too ).

I was thinking for the retracts to use the electric ones from E-flight or Robart. a ST 90 ( that's the biggest engine I have at the moment ) I'm not a speed freak :D, metal spinner, Dubro tail wheel, 80 Oz carbonight servos.

What you guys think.
