concept 30 - clutch removal
I've got an older concept 30 that I want to get flying again. The engine was all froze up and gummy, so I thought I'd rebuild/replace it. But, I can't get the clutch off. I've gotten the fan, bolt and cone off, but no luck on the clutch itself. It's frozen on! I've tried heat, penetrating oil, percussive maintenance, everything I can think of.
Anyone got any ideas?

RE: concept 30 - clutch removal
Remember that the clutch shoe threads on to the engine crankshaft. I'd let a little penetrating oil soak in and then lock the crankshaft with a toothbrush and use a big straight screwdriver in the channels on the front of the clutch to spin the clutch free. If a reasonable amount of force won't break it free, it might be there til judgement day?
