concept 30 dimensions
I need someone to give me the exact dimensions of a Kyosho concept 30-WITHOUT THE CANOPY-please.
ie.-length from tip of nose to end of tail-height from bottom of frame(not skids) to top of frame, length of boom by itself and width at widest part.
Im trying to see if a concept 30 scale bell 222 body can be adapted to fit a JR Venture CP30
Thanks
Joe

RE: concept 30 dimensions
Ok, from the tip of the nose were the radio gear goes to the end of the tailrotor housing is 38 inches. The length of the main frame itself without the tailboom is about 15 1/4 inches. The tallest part of the frame is were the main mast is located not including the skids is 7 1/4 inches. The widest part of the frame would be the cooling fan housing which is approx. 2 3/4 inches wide, the width of the fuel tank is 4 inches which is pretty well the widest spot but not actually considered as part of the frame. The length of the tailboom itself as installed ( this does not include the tailrotor case) is 19 3/4 inches. The lenght of the entire tailboom assembly is 22 3/4 inches.

THanks ,Hotshabit.
The Venture is biggger in all aspects. But I had several Kyosho fuses years ago and ,as I recall, they were much larger than they needed to be.In fact, they made the old Concept 30's as large as 50's.I guess I need to either get the measurements of the plastic Kyosho fuses themselves, talk to somone who has tried this modification,or buy the damn bodies and see if I can "adapt" them.
Thanks Again
Joe

The kyosho fuses are much larger than they needed to be. I see fuses for the concepts on ebay all the time for a decent price, I am pretty sure someone on here has some of these fuses that would be able to get some measurements for you.

Right!
Ive been looking at Ebay and some other places and all I need is to know the dimensions of the actual Kyosho "Bleach Bottle" bodies-In particular, the Jet Ranger,Bell222 and my favorite, the Hughes 500.
HOLLER IF YOU HEAR ME!
Thanks

Also, which concept 30 do you have. The concept DX and SE has a shorter boom then the SR, SR-T, and SR-X. I don't know the lenght of the SX though?

RoyLFlush,
Did you get all the info you need?
I have a Concept Hughes 500 fuselage that has never been mounted. I bought it to see if I could adapt it to my Caliber 30. The Caliber 30 will fit inside, but it would look kind of funky.
If you need measurements of the fuse, I can get them.
Oh, and if you need a Hughes 500 fuse (I have only cut the front windshield opening) I know of one for sale. [sm=wink.gif]
