Help ID a Kyosho Helicopter
Hey guys,
My friend has several Kyosho parts helicopters and we're trying to identify one of them. We know that several of them are Nexus 30 models. There are two that are different from the Nexus 30 but we don't know what they are. They are .30 size machines with a rear cone start and driven tail assemblies. All of the machines are older, so we know it's not a new model. Any ideas?
Also, what is the lineage of the Kyosho .30 size machines? For example, where do the Nexus, Concept, and Caliber machines fall on a time line?
Sorry I don't have pics to post. I might be able to get some over the weekend.
Thanks!
Steve

RE: Help ID a Kyosho Helicopter
If they are cone start they are probably Concepts.
Concept range 80's on
Nexus 90's on
Caliber 00's on
Could defo tell you with a photo though
This is a typical Concept (VR) Note the drooping blades of the flapping head design and the stacked servo setup.

Thanks for all the help! I should be able to post pics early next week. My friend is going to drop off the entire stash so I can identify and inventory everything. There are 7 helicopters and a trash can full of spare parts.

RE: Help ID a Kyosho Helicopter
As promised, here are some pics. The first is a pic of what we think is an older Concept 30...maybe an SR-T? I have some Kyosho parts in packages marked as "SR-T". There are two more concepts that have different heads and grips on them. I think they may be SR-X units? One of the birds has a head with aluminum parts (aftermarket upgrades, I assume) and the other has a driven tail. I one the Concepts has never been completed.
Also, can anyone confirm the identity of the Nexus 30? Is it a type S or ???
Thanks!
