Went flying today....
Took the heli out today for its last v6 flight. It was about 0º outside.Engine started pretty easy...I'm using a dremel cause I'm to cheap to buy a high speed starter....works good btw Anywho I was trying to get it trimmed out after my maintenece work on it.Didn't Get that quite done...Engine would stall after a couple minutes running. But it never did overheat... Now I need to get started on my cv and aluminum crutch .I think I may try running the wood crutch first...Just so people know it works if they wanna give it a try.I need to get vids though,I was hovering over a dam thats froze over...Slight skift of snow....Gives you a really cool rotor wash with the snow and all..The ice makes it great if you come in a lil sideways....No worrys about tipping over...you just slide.Think maybe adding a few washers under the head will help the stalling if I don't rush into the cv conversion.Anywho...thought I would share fingers get a wee chilly out there on the controls though.
