V-7 - How Many Washers are you using?

The heading says it all. I'd be interested to hear how many washers people are using with their V-7. I guess the fuel's nitro content is relevany too. Thanks

Just as a matter of interest, what temperatures are you having where you are Darth - we're around 12C at the moment. I know temp makes a bit of a difference to how engines run, but I'm not sure just how much difference it makes
Unfortunately it's either been blowing a gale or raining in recent times, so I'm still no further forward in my attempts to get the V-7 running reliably . . . . but at least I've had it running, and it will lift my heli. This has to be a good start, now all I have to do is fugure-out what I need to do to keep it running

Nitro %, air Temp and altitude all will change how many washers you will need to use. Every 5% more nitro you will add a washer, If your at high altitude you will take out a washer or two, if it is cold, you will add a washer, hot take one out.
I run 2 washers... my engine is a bit worn and has been abused a bit, so I need the extra compression. I am less than 50 feet above sea level, in Florida. Temp around 80-90 (summer) 65-75 (winter), and using 20% nitro.

Thanks guys . . . . it's interesting to see what fuel/washers others are using. I was using 5 washers and 20% when I asked this question - but the weather's changed and everything's different now. I've decided to mothball my LMH over the winter and just stick with flying my planx (fill 'em up, apply starter, open throttle, fly for 20 minutes, land, repeat . . . . so much less hasle!). Hang on in there Rog!
