From: Cambria, CA,
I'd like to hear from someone who has converted their Corona 120 to CCPM mixing and variable pitch using the conversion kit sold by Choppahedz. I have tried for many hours to adjust the controls so that it is manageable. Until the conversion it was an excellent performer and great fun. To Larry's credit he has answered all of my questions. Even so I have failed and am ready to return it to stock form.
Perhaps if someone is flying one I can share my setup and learn if I have set up something incorrectly.

tmorita in rcgroup was having trouble getting it to work. there was at least one in europe that posted pic of it hovering low. cannot say if anybody that I've heard has gotten it to work, if at all. (except for that euro one)

Askman, I'm not encouraged by the fact that yours was the only response to my thread. I guess it's time to start ordering some stock parts and get back to having fun with my Corona once again.

no, fixed pitch stuff only. I am using 7mm shaft with eco aluminum swash and aluminum hub, with belt drive tail(craze tail 2) setup. It flies as well as my eolo in horizontal flight. Ballistic research stuff is really good in my opinion. I love mine. flies like a dream.
I am going to try putting on corona blade on my eolo though this winter. I am curious how well it will work, if at all. (need to make some custom grips) would not mind having cheap 20 buck set of blade to use on my eolo .

From: Cambria, CA,
I'm now ordering replacement parts for my 120 to restore the flybar and other main rotor components to stock. I'm putting the Choppahedz modification components up for sale on eBay. I've tried everything to set up the collective pitch head to no avail. All things considered the Corona was great in stock form with fixed pitch and a brushless motor.

I agree. corona flies great as fixed pitch, and mine flies even better. I got 9.5 min on 2000 mah lipo when my esc started to beep. It took 1750 on recharge. it is real light on the stick and responsive but very solid in control.
