I was setting up a lmh 110 for a friend and the carb fell off the vmax6. It looks like those things are just glued in - no set screws or nothing. Any ideas on how to fix it?? J.B. Weld?? Send it back to LM?
Has anybody else had this problem?

Yep, another one of those Vmax6 problems. Litemachines will swear up and down that there is no problem with the engines on their helis. Alot of us have been there and done that. JB weld will hold for a few flights if that. Ive used JB weld and Ive tied wire around mine to hold it on but eventually the seal will break and that will cause the engine to run poorly as if it dosent already. I contacted Litemachines and they wouldnt fix it or replace it. You can give it a try. They may talk you into buying a new engine. Ive heard this problem happening to quite a few people now. Everytime Ive talked to them about a problem with the engines they basically tell me that its an isolated problem. It dosent happen often. We who use the forums are just but a few of the many people who fly the LMH, and it seems to be a common problem. Just think of all those that dont use the forums and dont know of the forums. I think alot of the problems are bigger than what Litemachines will admit to.

You also could try to put a set screw in it or scuff it really good then try glueing it again. If that doesn't work you maybe could get some copper plumming solder and try to solder it back on.

If the solder gets to hot it will melt if you gey just a little in your engine, its over. The Vmax 7 will be a good upgrade as far as power is concerned. Skybolt Ill send you a PM.
