I just got my brushless system, should have done it months ago. My speed control has a brake and no brake mode, did they send me the wrong speed control? Does the heli speed control say heli some where on it? thanks for the help.

Hi Fullscale!
I'm assuming (a bad thing) that you have a Hacker setup there. Jeti ESC numbers are very similar to Hacker, and to my the best of my knowledge, the Hacker ESC is made by Jeti although perhaps to some different specs.
The Hacker ESC that I have is labeled:
Heli Master 40-3P
It has various programs to set the brake on/off, setting the timing mode and switching frequency for various motors and flying preferences.
I got mine and the Hacker C-40-12 motor from
www.FXAeromodels.com
And the website shows the various motor and ESC combo's.
My ESC was packaged with the motor and set to "brake off" and timing and switching frequency was already pre-set for the Hacker motor. Pretty much jus plugged them together an all has worked flawlessly since.
Hope this helps.
Happy Choptering,
Russ

Two kinds of Hacker Master 40-3p's;
The "heli" version has governer and non-governer modes (you want non-governer mode for a FP heli). The other Hacker Master is a non-"heli" version. It has only non-governer mode, but with brake on or off (you want the brake off).
Either Hacker Master will work in a Corona.
