Since I'm always looking for anything on these helicopters and they seem to be vanishing quickly, I figured I'd post a couple of pictures of mine in its current form... The canopy is custom painted by a friend who owns a body shop and has multiple "fuel proof" clear coats on top...

The next shot is the inside... I try to keep it clean...

the next shot is with my Walkera 4#3B micro heli... just for size reference..

anyone else have any pictures of their LMH helicopter... I would love to see them.... thanks

Nice Helicopter Dave.. what is the Meco glow adapter??? wait till you fly without the training wheels... its so much better... Got any close up shots.. I would like to see what you've done...

The Meco adaptor lets one use standard glow plugs as opposed to the expensive Norvel plugs. I found that by using high temp thread-lock, they can be sealed pretty tight, and have not had any power problems with them. They are pretty cheap on ebay.
I had to mod the fuel tank as the original broke (old age). I finally settled on a fuji-film tank. However, It does not hold very much so I can only fly about five mins.
I had a TR gearbox fall apart, and the only spare I had had no fin. I traced a new one out of 1/8 ply and that seems to work.
I fly with nimh batteries and a super light 4 ch reciver. The weight savings really pays off.
I'll see if I can find some better pics.

Mine is in surprisingly great shape with everything original except for the new Tail gear box and blade.. everything else is original to the helicopter.. I found a source for blades and will get a few I guess.. I still use the nicads that came with the original radio because they work and I just haven't got around to changing them..... Can't wait to see the new pics...

They are all over the place when you can find them on Ebay.. I've seen some listed for a couple hundred as NIB,but no electronics.. they don't seem to sell... others listed as RTF used but with spares can go for $200 or more.. Take good pictures and make sure its clean... I always look for these, but its a real turn off when I can't see the whole heli and or its dirty.. Most people who are looking for these are collectors or those looking for spare parts... Post up a few pics, lets see what you got....

The radio is a basic Futaba Skysport 4 (T4VF) with a Futaba FP-R127DF 7-channel reciever. The TX/RX are silver sticker, but are legal (20kHz bandwidth, Channel 23, manufactured after 1991). It has four Hitec HS-81 servos and a 600mA battery. I would be willing to sell it with or without the TX/RX/Bat.

I would expect to see somewhere between $150 and $200 in that area.. you may get a bit more becuase of the extra body and the starter... those help... Take lots of pictures, list everything you have with it and sell it... as long as its not overpriced... it will sell....you won't get back what you have into it, but thats the same with everything in this hobby...

I'm guessing you couldn't find it because I probably messed up the ad somehow. This is the first time I've placedan ad here. Below is the link RCUniverse sent me in a confermation email. Looking at the ad, Ican see that somehow I didn't get a description in there. I'll try to figure out how to go back and edit it, but it is as described in this forum, minus the hitec foam wrap (I replaced it with plain old white foam wrap). The wood frame is cracked where the forward gear attaches, but it was glued long ago and worked fine. It hasn't flown or been started in years. But, it was flying before it ended up in the basement. The engine turns overand the installed glowpluglooks good (a new one is included in the parts). I debated on wether or not to list it as RTF. I'm sure it will fly great, but the trims have been disturbed and since I don't have any Norvel fuel, I can't run the engine. Iwould like to, because I have no intention of ripping someone off. I have some 15% in the basement as well, but it is also old. If Iremember right, the Norvel fuel was different from regular heli fuel. What fuel do you guys use?

I use regular helicopter fuel.. works fine.. 15% fuel.. I think its Omega or something like that.. I only use it with this helicopter and its not like anything I use for my cars.. The heli fuel works perfectly.. I never purchased norvel fuel...I've been using the basic norvel plug with this fuel and contrary to what the manual says, the plugs last and the helicopter will idle thru the whole tank if I let it...
