RE: Got Another question
You're right! It's a newb question but that's why we're all here...no learn and share.
Yes the tubing you're referring to is the pressure line from your exhaust to your tank. If you want you can buy all sorts of different color tubing to change it out with so you can't see the yellowing. Remember that the length is important. I think the piece it comes with is nine inch.

RE: Got Another question
I'll get corrected if I'm wrong here, But despite what you here size does matter!!!
I think that it goes like this. The shorter the hose between the pipe and the tank the more fuel pressure there is on the tank. And the longer the hose the less pressure there is. I guess if it is longer it offers more friction loss. Also a longer length would dampen out the little tiny rapid pressure waves that we have in the exhaust. Does that help?

RE: Got Another question
I think it might have more to do with fuel lines flexibility and ability to expand .The more line the more available area to expand the less pressure in the tank.9" seems to be a well used figure when it comes to minimum lengths of pressure line and I suspect that may be as hoverlover said,to dampen the pressure waves so the pressure appears relatively constant. All IMHO
